Villa Carob Shade in Coral Bay - Peyia, Paphos

Carob Shade is a lovely holiday villa in Peyia, coral bay area here in Paphos. Carob Shade is set into Lithos village, a small development of seven detached villas. The villa is only a couple of kilometres of supermarkets, restaurants, shops, cafes and just a bit further from the popular Coral Bay beach.

Carob Shade holiday villa enjoys peaceful surroundings at the end of a residential area, a beautiful stone-built house offering the highest standards. Shaded by the carob trees from which the villa takes its name.

A paved terrace surrounds the swimming pool, overlooked by a covered terrace with patio doors leading into the house. Here an attractive lounge adjoins an open-plan kitchen/diner and shares the ground floor with two of the bedrooms, both of which have en suite bathrooms.

The double room has patio doors opening onto the poolside terrace and even has a four-poster bed, as does the first floor bedroom, which also has an en suite bathroom and a balcony enjoying views across the surrounding countryside to the sea.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely villa in April. Pool area was fantastic, hot tub fun. General living area was very comfortable. Andros very kind and helpful, we will recommend to our friends and family as a truly lovely place to stay. The local take away souvlaki was fantastic!!! Thank you!

After trawling literally hundreds of villas online we found Lithos Holiday Village, a traditionally built yet modern handful of villas tucked away a mile or so just outside of Coral Bay. The owner Andros was very helpful in the run up to the holiday, making sure we had everything we required including reserving Car Hire for us, his English was very good so this helped with our lack of foreign languages. The Villa (Carob Shade) was very private, quiet and had an uninterrupted view to the mountains to the north and views of the coast from our balcony. We were a party of friends, two couples both with 5 year old girls who spent just about the whole week in the heated pool. The walk-in end was ideal for them but they soon got up the confidence to jump in at the 2m deep end. They loved the pool so much, we had to force them to spend a day at the beach at Coral Bay, which was great too, good café, toilets and sun beds with a car park right next to the beach. The Villas were unique to most holiday villas, there was lots of attention to detail, not only the sensitive, Cypriot, historic, architectural features but the landscaping around the villas, the shapes of the pools and solid wood bespoke furniture inside ours which made the holiday a little more special. Most importantly to us British, the air conditioning was very effective and everything was in good order as the villas are only a few years old. Andros’ son called in to check we were OK and Andros himself later in the week after returning from overseas. He was very attentive to our needs and was keen to make sure we had everything we required, we were short of a few wine glasses but within a couple of hours, new ones had arrived, he even made jokes with the girls who were impressed with his ‘kid’s entertainment’ skills, very funny. Our intention was to relax and do very little so even though Coral Bay had more than enough restaurants and bars to temp us, and we did try a couple, both great food, most evenings were spent cooking on the huge BBQ and relaxing under the veranda or in the hot tub with the girls worn out, tucked up in bed. The outside had a relaxing ambience where we played card games, read, listened to music and had a glass or two of Andros’ complimentary wine. Andros even stocked the kitchen with a few essentials on arrival, tea, coffee, milk, bread, bacon and cheese and yoghurts if I remember rightly. The villa was exceptionally clean and the staff really do make an effort to keep everything perfect including regular pool cleaning and towel replacement. We cannot recommend these villas enough. We would like to thank Andros and his staff for a fantastic holiday. We will definitely return.

We stayed at the Lithos holiday villas from June 2nd to June 7th 2012 in a villa called Carob shade and had a fantastic time! The villa was well maintained and the pool and hot tub were lovely. The views from the villa were fantastic. A huge basket of fruits and a breakfast hamper were also provided and created a very warm welcome. The location of the villa was very convenient and close to Paphos town center and the beach. It was an ideal location to stay, close to the beach but far enough away from the crowds and noise. Also we appreciated how the Owner, Mr Andros was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We did trouble him on a number of occassions for advice and help and he was always very accomodating. He also made it a point to come and visit us with a bottle of cypriot wine to welcome us and that was indeed kind and a lovely gesture! Overall we had a lovely stay and would love to visit again!

The smell of orange blossom, the chirps of birds and the distance baaing of sheep being tendered by their shepherd across the valley of Peyia were the perfect antidote to the most relaxing few days I enjoyed at Villa Carob Shade. Andros and family have built and maintained their villas to the highest standard and are most welcoming hosts. The villa is a short drive or a little longer walk into Coral Bay township full of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. I love this place, I recommend it to all my friends and will defintely be back.

We were absolutely thrilled with our choice of Carob Shade, Lithos Village. We are used to plush holidays having been to Jamaica, Barbados, Dubai etc but with a 10mth old we wanted to go somewhere closer but not give up the luxury. For even a picky person this place is special. By far the best we saw in & near Coral Bay. (We even viewed a James's Villa across the road - doesn't come close! And a lot more money). We were so pleased with Lithos Village, we even had a lovely cot & high chair delivered by the owner. We would recommend a hire car just because it was pretty hot walking. Can't fault it! Coral bay a bit 'inflatable city' for us but the nearby beach demands an inflatable! Restaurants were fab - read the menu's and pick what you like. There's a big variety available. Would absolutely return!

My wife and I have just spent a wonderful week at the villa Carob Shade. The interior of the villa is very well laid out and well furnished. Outside was simply the best. A very private area to sunbathe, a beautiful pool and a hot tub for when the sun went in. Perfect! The only downside is that you need a car to get about. However that was a small price to pay for such luxury. Andros is a very kind and helpful owner who made everything run smoothly from initial contact to going home. I would recommend these villas to enyone.

My family and I spent two memorable weeks holiday at the beautifully appointed Villa Carob Shade situated in the Lithos Holiday Villas complex at Peyia. This villa provided all the right ingredients for a truly relaxing holiday. It has everything on site: pool, BBQ, hot tub, table-tennis beautiful garden and surroundings. We hired a car to help us get about and found it to be invaluable for family trips and visits to the supermarket (Phillipos). Our children loved the pool and the wifi network for their IPods. The owner, Andros, could not have been more helpful; nothing was a problem for him. We will definitely be back!
